The Kentucky State Police Special Response Team was involved in a shooting on Monday in Richmond.
Kentucky State Police Post 7 spokesman Robert Purdy said the shooting occurred at Towne Place Suites by Marriott sometime early Monday afternoon.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. No troopers or other law enforcement personnel were injured in the incident.
