(Leitchfield, KY) – The K105-Cater Harrell & Dale Woosley State Farm First Responder of the Week is Kentucky State Police Public Affairs Officer Post 4 Scotty Sharp.

Trooper Sharp said he has always wanted to be a public servant, and later in life decided to pursue his dream of wearing the uniform for the Kentucky State Police.  Sharp said he is proud to be a part of the rich heritage of the KSP, and now enjoys his job as the PAO because it allows him to promote the agency.

PAO Sharp said he is proud of the work he has accomplished during his years as a detective with the agency – some cases still going through the court system – and says the agency isn’t seeing the same discrimination that agencies in bigger metropolitan areas are dealing with, in fact, he said in Grayson Co. first responders are treated with the utmost respect.

PAO Sharp lives in Leitchfield with his wife and three boys, who he says the youngest seems interested in following in his father’s footsteps and walk  the Thin Blue Line.
