Margaret Higdon, age 91 of Leitchfield passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born November 19, 1926 in Corbin, Kentucky.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Anne Higdon, Melissa Sue Schwartz (Fred), Thomas DeVean Higdon (Annette), and Mary Pat Stickler (Greg), one sister, Betty Taylor, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William DeVean Higdon, one brother, Jerome Wilkerson, and one sister, Pat Copeland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield with Fr. Tony Bickett officiating. Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Leitchfield. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
