I registered for Get Moving Grayson County, which began last Monday. This is the second year the GC Extension Office is hosting this two month event. As I checked in Monday morning to log my steps with the class I was blown away. I had 27,909 steps, but some of you all are logging over 100K steps a week! What are you all doing to log that many steps? Goodness…I need to step-up my game here. Talk about a reality check.

Mark crossed the county line Friday evening as he had the honor to emcee a book signing event by Author Susan B. Dyer. Dyer has published her second book “Joseph Holt Mansion: Saving & Restoring the Home of Lincoln’s Judge Advocate General.” The event was held on the eve of the 10th Annual Holt Day, which is a fundraising event for the community, and allows participants to tour the 14-room mansion, and join in period wear, and activities that are appropriate for the period of when Judge Advocate General Joseph Holt was alive. The home sets in Breckinridge County and is a true piece of Kentucky history. Click here to learn more at Holt House
