On Wednesday, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to Maplemere Avenue to conduct a welfare check on an elderly female.
When police arrived on the scene, law enforcement observed that 91-year-old Lucille Lindsey, of Bowling Green, was in “immense pain,” according to authorities. An ambulance was immediately requested, with Lindsey transported to a Bowling Green hospital.
Police said through further investigation, it was determined that Lindsey’s daughter, 57-year-old Gerri Carnes, of Bowling Green, had assaulted her mother earlier in the week.
Carnes was arrested and charged with wanton abuse/neglect of an adult, and transported to the Warren County Regional Jail where she’s being held on a $20,000 bond. She was also served with an EPO.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office contacted Adult Protective Services and requested assistance with the investigation, which is ongoing.
