Frances Lou (Edwards) Woosley, 79, of Caneyville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky.

She was born October 6, 1939, in Louisville, Ky, the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Gaffney) Edwards.

She married Paul Addison Woosley on July 4, 1959. They were married until they were parted by his death in July 2001.

Frances professed her salvation during a revival in 1977 at Pleasant Union United Baptist Church. She became a charter member of Wilson United Baptist Church in 1983, where she remained a faithful member until her death.

Five children were born to the Union of Paul and Frances. She is survived by three sons, Paul Wayne Woosley, (wife Lisa), of Caneyville, Robert Woosley, of Bowling Green;  Troy Woosley, of Louisville; and two daughters, Karen Smith (husband Ernie), of Mammoth Cave, and Tonya Tucker, of Caneyville; as well as five grandchildren, Mindy, Erica, Emily, Nora, and Luke; and five great-grandchildren, Elijah, Chloe, Easton, Carson, and Kellen.  She is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn Mercer, and Aline Bartrum. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Butch and Jackie Edwards, and one sister, Jean McDaniels.

Frances, Mom, Mamaw, will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We find comfort in knowing she isn’t in pain, and we will meet again.

Funeral Services will be held at Wilson United Baptist Church at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, (November 17, 2018). Brother David Woosley will be officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Wilson United Baptist Church on Friday, (November 16, 2018) from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
