On Saturday, the Glasgow Police Department responded to a shooting on Cedar Street.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that the male victim had been shot in the leg with a 12-gauge shotgun, according to police. Officials said the shooter was also on scene and was taken into custody and questioned.

Authorities said that after interviewing the victim and suspect, the shooting is considered an “accidental discharge” of the firearm.
