Friday night at approximately 8:00, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Leitchfield Fire Department and EMS responded to the 6000 block of Anneta Road on the report of a single-vehicle accident.

Upon Deputies Rance Whobrey and Mark Johnson as well as Sgt. Fred Norder arriving on the scene, authorities found that Trenton Stevenson, of Leitchfield, had been traveling north on Anneta Road in a Chevrolet Avalanche in foggy and rainy conditions, when he lost control of the vehicle.

The Chevy crossed the southbound lane and left the roadway. The Avalanche traveled off the road for about 150 feet before reentering the roadway and flipping onto its top. On its roof, the Chevy crossed the westbound lane before again leaving the road, striking a culvert and flipping back onto its wheels.

In total, the vehicle traveled 385 feet from the time Stevenson lost control until the Chevy came to rest.

Stevenson, who suffered a laceration to his head but was alert at the scene, was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by EMS for further treatment.
