Armored car crew member, cash disappear from Louisville’s Jefferson Mall

A Louisville armored car crew member and an undetermined amount of cash are missing.

Louisville Metro Police said 29-year-old Mark N. Espinosa was last seen Wednesday in the parking lot of Jefferson Mall, in south Louisville. The driver of the armored vehicle, owned by GardaWorld, reported Wednesday afternoon that Espinosa and some of the cash from the armored car were missing.

Police said Espinosa stands 5’10” and weighs 225 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen he was wearing a blue work uniform.

Louisville police said in at a press conference on Thursday they are uncertain if Espinosa was accosted or if he’s disappeared of his own accord.

GardaWorld is a private security firm that handles cash transfers between banks and businesses.
