Two men illegally hunting and under influence of drugs arrested in Butler County

On Monday, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officers arrested two men on drug and illegal hunting charges in Butler County.

Officers were in the area of Hwy 231 when they encountered two men illegally hunting with rifles during muzzleloader season, according to the Beech Tree News. As officers made contact with the two men, John B. Curcio and Jason L. Dobbs, the hunters appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Further investigation and a search of the two men revealed both were in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

The suspects were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), hunting under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, hunting without a license/permit/stamp, illegal taking of wildlife, and possession of marijuana.

Both are lodged in the Butler County Jail.
