The FBI is looking for a bank robber, tabbed “The Traveling Bandit,” who has robbed at least seven banks since December 28.

The suspect has robbed banks in Utah, North Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, and Florida and is traveling in a white Ford Explorer or Expedition with Kentucky license plates.

“The suspect usually approaches the counter and presents a note demanding money and threatening a weapon then departing the bank on foot,” the FBI said in a statement to news outlets.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 40- to 50-years-old, with a goatee and salt and pepper hair. He has tattoos on both arms and is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10, with a medium build. Authorities said he has worn a black jacket, white t-shirt and black baseball hat in most of the robberies.
