The Anneta man missing since January 13 has been found.

Michael Kerry Williams, 57, was found deceased by Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Jarrod Mudd and Lt. Sonny Poteet at the bottom of a 30-foot cliff near his home, located at 644 Foxwood Circle. Grayson County Coroner Joe Brad Hudson pronounced Williams dead at the scene.

According to Sheriff Norman Chaffins, there were two witnesses who saw Williams on January 13. One witness placed Williams in the 6100 block of Preston Highway, in Louisville, while another, uncorroborated account, said Williams was last seen “around one to two in the morning of January 13” near his residence.

Without offering details, Chaffins previously said Williams, whose son is a homicide detective with the Louisville Metro Police Department, disappeared under “suspicious circumstances.”

Presently, law enforcement and Hudson are conducting a death investigation, as police are unsure at this point whether foul play was involved in Williams’ death. The body was transported to the Grayson County Coroner’s Office before being transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville for autopsy.

The Leitchfield and Anneta Fire Departments recovered the body.

K105 will have additional information on this investigation as it becomes available.
