A man has been killed in a rollover accident on Bowing Green Road (Hwy 185).

Sunday night at approximately 8:45, Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputies Kelsey Overton and Brandon Rafferty and Kentucky State Police Trooper Jared Clemons, along with the Caneyville Fire Department and EMS, responded to the 5400 block of Bowling Green on the report of a single-vehicle accident.

Upon arriving at the scene, authorities found the male driver deceased. Based on marks at the scene, the driver was traveling south on Bowling Green Road in a Jeep Cherokee in a straight stretch, when the vehicle left the roadway and traveled down an embankment, rolling over at least once (but based on the damage to the vehicle, it’s likely the Jeep rolled over multiple times). The Jeep traveled about 180 feet after leaving the roadway.

The driver, according to Caneyville fire personnel, was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead by Grayson County Deputy Coroner Larry Holeman. The victim was the only passenger in the vehicle.

The identity of the man has not yet been released.
