A small child has been struck by a vehicle as he rode his bike across Millerstown Road.

Monday afternoon at approximately 5:20, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkson Fire Department, EMS, and Kentucky State Police responded to the 1800 block of Millerstown Road after a young boy, age eight- to 10-years-old, was struck by a vehicle.

Police said the boy was crossing Millerstown Road on a blind hill when a female driver, appearing to have been driving west, was unable to avoid striking the child. The boy was tossed down a short embankment.

He was airlifted from the Clarkson ball fields to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville with life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released the identities of the boy or the woman who struck him.
