He also noted that a “hazardous/safety” project is scheduled to take place on Grayson Springs Road will take place this year, along with a Western Kentucky Parkway “rehab project” beginning at the Ohio County line and moving about six miles into Grayson County.

Officials are currently working on a preliminary design for the William Thomason Byway Extension Project, which will extend the southern terminus of the William Thomason Byway from Hwy 259 southwest to Hwy 54, a distance of about two miles.

Additionally, Sanders said bridge deck overlays are scheduled for Bear Creek bridge and the Hwy 88 bridge at the Grayson/Hart County line.
