A Hardin County man has been arrested after allegedly raping and sodomizing a woman he was holding against her will.

The Elizabethtown Police Department said that on Saturday, 45-year-old Joseph Lee Montgomery, of Elizabethtown, violated an EPO by entering the home of the victim and refusing to leave, according to the News-Enterprise. The woman attempted to escape, but was forced back inside the residence by Montgomery. He then raped and sodomized the victim.

Montgomery was arrested Saturday night and charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and violating an EPO. He faces up to 45-years in prison if convicted of all charges. He’s being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
