A Bowling Green man has been seriously injured after slamming into the back of dump truck.

Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:30, Kentucky State Police and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 68 and Stamps Road, near the Warren/Logan County line.

Police said the initial investigation revealed that 41-year-old James Embry, of Morgantown, was driving a Mack dump truck when he turned onto Hwy 68 from Stamps Road, traveling east. Blake Jones, 23, of Bowling Green, who was driving a 2004 International service truck, then slammed into the rear of the dump truck.

Jones was airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Embry was unhurt.
