A Leitchfield woman has been arrested on multiple drug charges in Ohio County.

On Thursday, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office obtained information regarding a drug deal involving methamphetamine in the Horse Branch area. Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said the person allegedly selling the drugs, 40-year-old Misty Fentress, was identified as already being wanted because of an indictment warrant for receiving stolen property and theft by deception.

At about 12:30 Thursday afternoon deputies and Kentucky State Police conducted surveillance in the 12000 Block of Hwy 62 when a vehicle matching the description of a car Fentress is known to drive was observed in the area. She was immediately taken into custody without incident.

Once in custody, deputies located methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription medication on Fentress, according to Beatty.

She was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), two counts of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, Lortab) and possession of marijuana.

She was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center on two bonds totaling $15,000.
