Olethia Browning Johnson, 84, of Fountain Run passed away a 9:25 PM Friday at Jefferson Manor in Louisville.
The Edmonson County native was a retired seamstress for Kellwood and Brownsville Manufacturing and a member of Midway United Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Ewing Browning and Ethel Meredith Browning. She was preceded in death by a son, Leo Smith; and two daughters, Cleo Austin and Irene Esters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to follow in Midway Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday and after 9:00 AM Tuesday.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Dennison of Brownsville and Peggy Bennett of Bowling Green; two brothers, Charles Browning of Smiths Grove and Tex Browning of Brownsville; two daughters, Beatrice Johnson of Brownsville and Arlene Hoskins of Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren, Josh Gibbons, Amy Dennison, Jonathan Houchin, Jay Houchin, Teresa Lowe, Cerissa Morris, Laura Morris, Steven Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Cody Bennett, Jamie Austin and Laura Austin-Ellis; and 17 great grandchildren.
