A Munfordville man has been killed in a single-vehicle accident on Peonia Road.
Friday morning at approximately 7:30, Grayson County Chief Deputy Jarrod Mudd and Sgt. Clay Boone, the Wax Fire Department and EMS responded to the 13000 block of Peonia Road on the report of a single-vehicle accident.
Upon arriving at the scene, Grayson County Coroner Joe Brad Hudson said authorities found that 64-year-old Dennis Ray Rucker had been traveling on Peonia Road in a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck when, for unknown reasons, he veered off the roadway and traveled down an embankment, striking a tree.
He had to be extricated from the vehicle by Wax fire personnel and was pronounced dead at the scene by Hudson.
Peonia Road was shut down at the accident site for about 90 minutes as law enforcement investigated the crash.
