Owensboro man facing nearly 100 child porn, rape and sodomy charges

An Owensboro man has been jailed on nearly 100 counts of child porn, rape and sodomy charges.

On Thursday, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 46-year-old Brandon M. Sally after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The investigation began after authorities discovered Sally sharing files of child sexual exploitation online.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Owensboro where investigators found equipment used to facilitate the crime. The equipment was taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

Sally has been charged with  one count of first-degree rape, three counts of first-degree sodomy, 25 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, 33 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, 33 counts of promoting a minor under 16 in a sexual performance, and three counts of use of a minor under 16 in a sexual performance.

Sally was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond. He faces decades in prison if convicted on all charges.
