The Leitchfield Police Department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office raided a home on the corner of West Main Street and Mehr Avenue on Friday night after what was deemed a “credible threat” to law enforcement was posted on social media.

At approximately 9:15, about nine officers from both agencies arrived at the residence after receiving the threat against police; a threat discovered by Probation and Parole officials. Police searched the residence looking for a firearm that was supposedly in the home and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Marco was deployed throughout the home.

Police, though, did not locate a gun (the person who allegedly made the threat – he denied threatening officers — is a convicted felon and not to be in possession of a firearm) or drugs during the search.

Authorities did arrest 32-year-old Nickie Mischler, of Leitchfield, on three outstanding warrants; two out of Hardin County and one originating in Grayson County. The warrants were for failure to appear (2) and one was for a probation violation for a felony offense.

No other arrests were made.

Participating in the raid were LPD Sergeants Robert Jackson and Keith Harrell, and Officers Chase Melton, Joe and Kelsey Overton, Brandon Puckett and Chance Anthony, along with Grayson County Sgt. Fred Norder and Deputy DJ Newton. Deputy Mark Newman arrived on scene and transported Mischler to the Grayson County Detention Center.
