Lorene Johnson Oller, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (August 18, 2019) at Grayson Manor Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on August 21, 1932 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late E.W. (Bulldog) and Lois Hayes Johnson.
She was owner and operator of Furniture Palace, and was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed her family and was a very active parent in her children’s activities. She was a member of Eastern Star, WMU, a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Leitchfield Women’s Club and was a Leitchfield High School Band Booster. She has been a member of the Leitchfield First Baptist Church for 67 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Pat Blair (Mike) and Phyllis Clemons (Jackie) all of Leitchfield; six grandchildren, Mariah Meredith, Stephen Miller, Charlie Miller, Christy Vitou, Candi Clemons, and Corrin Blanton; eleven great-grandchildren, Christian Tyler Meredith, Cameron, Hunter, and Stephanie Miller, Cecily Hollin, Mason and Carson Miller, Allie and Ella Roof, and Jack and Jules Vitou; one great-great-grandchild, Lacyn Miller; four sisters, August Blair, Catherine Haynes, Opal Skaggs, and Marcella Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Oller; daughter, Rita Faye Miller; sisters, Bernice Johnson, Virginia Johnson, Juanita Staggs, and Lucille Shirrell; and brother, Damon Johnson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (August 21, 2019) at the sanctuary of the Leitchfield First Baptist Church. Bro. George Smith and Bro. Doug King will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until time of services at the church.
