A Navy helicopter door landed on a Radcliff woman’s house on Saturday.
Saturday morning at about 9:30, a helicopter door fell from the sky and landed on a house on Hill Street, just off Dixie Hwy (Hwy 31-W), in a residential area of Radcliff. The door bounced off the roof and gutter before damaging the home’s deck and falling into the yard, according to The News-Enterprise.
No one was injured and Radcliff police removed the door from the property.
Radcliff Police Chief Jeff Cross told the newspaper the part became unhinged from a Navy helicopter. The helicopters were en route to the east coast to help with Hurricane Dorian relief.
