A Hopkins County man has been arrested for assaulting his newborn baby.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office said 38-year-old Herbert L. Harris, of Earlington, was arrested Wednesday after he inflicted serious injuries to his two-month-old baby.
The newborn was taken to Baptist Health Madisonville on Sunday but was later transported to Norton Children’s Hospital. The baby is listed in stable condition. Police did not release details of the assault.
Harris was charged with first-degree assault (domestic violence) and lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
