John E. Gay, 64, of Sweden passed away September 23, 2019 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
The South field, Michigan native was a retired shipping and receiving manager at General Motors. He was a son of the late Ralph Walter Gay and Virginia Mae Mitchell Gay, and the husband of Pamela Ashley Gay.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rene Dee Gay and a step-daughter, Casey Fiolek.
Funeral services will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 11:00 am Thursday with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be at Gravil Funeral Home 3-8 PM Wednesday with a prayer service at 7 PM, and 9-10:30 AM on Thursday.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Ashley Gay; five children, Alyson Gay (Jeff Schmidt) of Farmington, MI; Eric Gay (Sara) of Lewisburg, TN; Adam Gay (Carolyn) of Liviona, MI; Katherine Gay of Commerce, MI; Megan Gay of Commerce, MI and their mother, Pamela Coleman-Gay of Commerce MI; six step-children, Lea Fiolek of Bonney Lake, WA; Shannon Wood (Matthew) of Apopla, FL; Michael Fiolek (Heather) of New Baltimore, MI; Courtney Diaz (Alfredo) of Ypsilanti, MI; Derrick Childress of Sweden, KY and Daniel Childress (Chelsea) of Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Luara Clouden (Patrick) of Belleair, FL; and 17 grandchildren
