
Gladys Tucker, age 99, passed away Wednesday, (September 25, 2019) at Signature Health Care in Hartford, Ky.
She was born on March 1, 1920 in Butler County, KY, the daughter of the late Orville and Grace Rock Wilson.
She was a caring and compassionate Nurses’ Aide at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for 35 years who enjoyed working in her garden, reading, spending time outdoors and visiting with her grandchildren. She was a member of Green River Baptist Church, in Cromwell, KY and also attended Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Leitchfield for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Swift (Eddie) and Sharon Mathis (Jerry) both of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Tammy Wilson (Mike), Debbie Buonocore (Bill), and Amy Snyder (Wendell) all of Leitchfield. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Adam Sims (Dani) of Bowling Green, Caleb Wilson (Tara), Jacob Wilson, Kenzie Cummings (Noah), Nick Ulto, Kole Snyder, all of Leitchfield; and one step grandson, Rocky Wilson of Leitchfield. Also surviving is one great great-granddaughter, Lennon Wilson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murrell Tucker, one child, Sheryl Tucker, one sister, Ruth Daugherty, two brothers, James Wilson and Robert Wilson, one son in law, Edwin Swift, one grandchild, Mike Swift and two special nephews and one niece.
In keeping with Gladys’ wishes, visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon on Saturday with private burial to follow.
