A father and two of his young daughters have been killed in a barn fire.
The deadly fire occurred Sunday morning at approximately 11:45 in Demossville, a small town in Pendleton County. Perishing in the fire were 35-year-old Carl Grizovic and two of his daughters, ages nine and seven.
Fire officials told Fox19.com that “the mother and three other children were not in the barn at the time of the fire.”
The barn was built over the summer and has electricity. The barn has two stories, with the ground floor serving as hay storage and an animal area. The upper part of the barn had furniture and appeared to be a play area for the family’s five children.
Kentucky State Police and the Campbell County Fire Investigative Team are leading the investigation.
