A former Hardin County AAU girls basketball coach has been convicted of sexually assaulting one of his players.

Corvell Conley, 43, of Radcliff, was found guilty of third-degree sodomy by a Hardin County jury on Friday, according to media reports. He was found not guilty of third-degree rape.

The assault occurred in the back of Conley’s car when he took one of his players home after a practice in April 2019. The victim was 14-years-old.

The Radcliff Police Department investigated the allegations and arrested Conley two days after the assault. A nurse performed a sexual assault exam on the juvenile, with the nurse saying the girl’s injuries were consistent with her claims.

Conley was the coach and co-founder of Kentucky Future, an AAU squad based in Elizabethtown, and was not employed by the Elizabethtown Independent School District or Hardin County Schools.

He faces up to five years in prison when he is formally sentenced on January 14, 2020.
