Anthony Grundy, 40, was stabbed to death Thursday night at approximately 6:30 at a residence in the 1000 block of Muhammad Ali Boulevard. He was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later at University of Louisville Hospital.

Police said the stabbing was the result of a domestic altercation.

Grundy starred at Warren Central High School in Bowling Green in the 1996-1997 season after transferring from Central High School in Louisville. Grundy spent one year at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia before playing his college ball at N.C. State, where he played from 1998 until 2002.
