A man convicted in Grayson County in April 2017 for felony wanton endangerment of a police officer, fleeing or evading police and bail jumping has been arrested in Ohio County on multiple drug charges.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said that on Wednesday morning deputies arrived at a residence in Horse Branch in an attempt to serve a felony arrest warrant on 40-year-old Randall M. Carter, who has lived intermittently in Millwood, Caneyville and Horse Branch.

When deputies arrived at the home, Carter answered the door and was immediately taken into custody. The homeowner, 45-year-old Katina Oldham, was also located in the residence. During the arrest, deputies located what appeared to be methamphetamine and marijuana in plain sight, according to Beatty.

Carter and Oldham were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center where they are charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Carter is being held on a $5,000 cash bond. Oldham is no longer listed as an inmate.

According to the Kentucky Department of Corrections, Carter was granted shock probation after being convicted in Grayson County on the aforementioned charges. He is on parole until 2027.

Beatty said Kentucky State Police assisted at the scene.
