Anna Marie Woods, age 71 of Leitchfield, KY died Friday, December 13, 2019 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Louisville, KY on December 24, 1947, the daughter of the late Joseph E. Woods, Sr. and Dorothy Wibbels Woods. Anna retired from MTD in Leitchfield, KY. She was a free spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest. She had an enormous heart which showed with her love of animals. Anna had a green thumb which was evident with the beauty of her flower beds in the summer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Charles T. Risinger, great grandson William Risinger and daughter-in-law Sandy Risinger.
Anna is survived by 3 children: Jim Risinger (Tammy) of Leitchfield, KY, David Risinger (Roma) of Goshen, KY, Melissa Butler (Bobby) of Leitchfield, KY; 6 grandchildren: Lauren and Haley Risinger, Meagan Farquhar (Ben), Chris Risinger (Emiley), Tabitha Stevenson (Jeremy) and Tyler Priest (Erica); 6 great grandchildren and 2 due to arrive in the next few months; 2 brothers: Joe Woods (Margaret) of Bardstown KY, and John Woods (Debbie) of Hardinsburg KY; 4 sisters: Kathy Fell of Jeffersontown, KY, Joyce Morris (Tommy), Dorothy Ritter (Bobby) and Susan Tipton (Jeff) of Mount Washington, KY
In keeping with the wishes of Anna, her family honored her request for cremation. There will be no visitation or services. Trent-Dowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
