Knife-wielding man shot by Radcliff police

A knife-wielding suspect has been shot by Radcliff police.

Early Thursday morning, the Radcliff Police Department responded to an armed robbery at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Navaho Court, according to media reports. While officers investigated, an unidentified man with a knife came toward the officers, with two of the officers shooting the suspect.

He was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, according to Kentucky State Police.

The two officers have been placed on administrative leave, per standard operating procedure.

The Kentucky State Police Critical Response Team is leading the investigation.
