Nearly 30 Grayson Co. students selected for All-State Chorus, All-District Orchestra

Nearly 30 Grayson County students have been selected for honors in chorus and orchestra.

The Kentucky Music Educators Association (KEMA) All-State Chorus has been selected and will include eight Grayson County High School students: Ethan Phillips, Travis Wise, Courtney Higdon, Ella Robinson, Caitlyn Woosley, Rebekah VanMetre, Evan Clark, and Daniel Rigdon.

All are juniors except Woosley, who is a senior. They will perform with the full All-State Chorus during the KEMA conference in February.

Twenty Grayson County Middle School musicians were featured prominently in the All-District Orchestra, held at Western Kentucky University.

The musicians rehearsed and performed with top orchestra students in the district under the direction of Ben McWhorter.

Selected for All-District Orchestra were: Jacob Shartzer, Rebecca DePoyster, Emilee Hall, Chloe Collard, Eva Pierce, Mallory Miller, Payton Woosley, Isabella Sanchez, Abby Ray, Molly Whittaker, Madison Stamper, John Smith, Maycee Seibert, Hayden Bradley, Logan Broome, Natalie Garrett, Annslee Shartzer, Rilee Haynes, Bethany Ray, Tate Cain.
