An intoxicated babysitter has been arrested after driving nearly 100 miles per hour with six unrestrained children in the car.

Wednesday evening at approximately 6:30, Kentucky State Police executed a traffic stop on the Natcher Parkway in Ohio County on a northbound Mitsubishi SUV traveling 97 miles per hour.

Upon making contact with the driver, 18-year-old Krislon T. Talbott, of Owensboro, police detected a “strong odor of marijuana” coming from the vehicle and observed three unrestrained children in the vehicle, Kentucky State Police said.

The trooper conducted a field sobriety test on Talbott and determined she was under the influence of an intoxicant. As the trooper performed the test on Talbott, he noticed three additional children, unrestrained, and in the cargo area of the SUV.

All six children were under the age of five, according to police.

Talbott, 19-year-old Peyton N. Coomes, of Owensboro, and 20-year-old Allison Frazier, of Owensboro, were arrested. The children were turned over to social services.

Talbott was charged with eight counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, DUI (aggravating circumstances), six counts of failure to use a child restraint device, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, speeding, failure to wear a seat belt, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Coomes was charged with six counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, six counts of failure to use a child restraint device, public intoxication, and possession of marijuana. Frazier was charged with six counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, six counts of failure to use a child restraint device, six counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, tampering with physical evidence, public intoxication, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three women were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center but are no longer listed as inmates.
