ALERT: Local officials to hold live press conference Tuesday to explain resources available to county residents during COVID-19 outbreak

Local officials will hold a live press conference on Tuesday to explain the resources available to Grayson County residents during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The press conference will begin Tuesday morning at 11:00 and can be viewed on K105’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Participating in the press conference will be Grayson County Judge-Executive Kevin Henderson, Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center CEO Wayne Meriwether, Grayson County Schools Superintendent Doug Robinson, Grayson County Health Center Director Josh Embry, and Dr. Joseph Lee. Other officials may also participate.

The press conference will cover the assistance offered for citizens during the COVID-19 outbreak from local service providers, including Community Action, Meals on Wheels, the Grayson County Schools breakfast and lunch program as well as other services available for the elderly, young and families.

Medical professionals will also attempt to alleviate misconceptions and rumors about COVID-19, and why social distancing is key to stop the spread of the virus.
