A Grayson County man, traveling on the Western Kentucky Parkway, escaped injury after his truck burst into flames.

Monday morning at approximately 2:35, Grayson County Deputy Zane Greer and the Clarkson Fire Department responded to the 119 mile marker of eastbound WK Parkway, just inside Grayson County, on the report of a vehicle fire.

According to the driver of the Dodge truck, Shawn Probus, smoke began rolling from underneath the hood of the truck. He immediately pulled onto the shoulder of the parkway and exited the vehicle, when the truck quickly burst into flames.

Probus was uninjured.

Clarkson Fire Department personnel arrived and extinguished the blaze within about 15 minutes, as the truck appeared to burn extremely hot.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
