17 new COVID-19 cases in Grayson Co. Now 43 cases, 32 connected to Grayson Nursing & Rehab.

The number of positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Grayson County has increased by nearly 20.

Grayson County Judge-Executive Kevin Henderson announced 17 news cases of the virus have been confirmed since Thursday afternoon. Twelve of the news cases are connected to Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation, with 11 of those 12 victims being residents of the facility, the other is an employee.

Grayson County now has 43 COVID-19 cases, with 32 of the confirmed cases tied to Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation. Twenty of the Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation coronavirus cases are residents and 10 are staff members.

The cases connected to Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation include: a 93-year-old woman, 88-year-old woman (employee), 101-year-old woman, 88-year-old woman, 82-year-old man, 75-year-old man, 59-year-old woman, 72-year-old woman, 95-year-old woman, 97-year-old woman,93-year-old woman, and 80-year-old woman.

All the above victims are in stable condition, according to officials.

The other confirmed cases include a 24-year-old woman (quarantined at home), 60-year-old woman (employee of Perdue in Butler Co.), 45-year-old woman (employee of Perdue in Butler Co.), 48-year-old woman (quarantined at home), and a 56-year-old woman who is in critical condition.

In addition to the 56-year-old woman, also hospitalized are a 66-year-old man (critical condition), 87-year-old female (stable) and 96-year-old man (stable). The 87-year-old woman and 96-year-old man are residents of Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation.

To date, 365 people have been tested for the virus in Grayson County, with 77 results pending and 246 tests returned negative. Five victims have recovered and one person passed away.
