With the county, state and nation in the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, healthcare providers’ staff rosters are stretched thin, including in Grayson County.

Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center (TLRMC), in a press release Friday afternoon, said it is reaching out to healthcare workers, retired healthcare workers and healthcare students, asking for people to join the TLRMC team.

“It has been nearly eight weeks since the first COVID-19 case in Kentucky and the medical service providers are facing new challenges daily,” said Jamie Bittel, TLRMC Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “An immediate challenge posed by COVID-19 is the need for additional healthcare professionals with direct patient care experience at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.”

“Medical professionals and first responders across the state are working tirelessly to meet the rising needs and challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Wayne Meriwether, CEO of TLRMC, added. “We are calling on all available healthcare professionals to support the effort to fight the virus by joining our team. Their efforts can help save lives of their fellow Grayson County residents.”

TLRMC is asking individuals to consider this opportunity even if they are a healthcare student or graduate, retiree of the healthcare workforce, or have a recently expired professional registration.

Anyone interested in this opportunity, is asked to contact the TLRMC Human Resources Department at 270-259-1625.

About Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center

Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center is a 75-bed regional hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services to the residents of a six-county area with a population of more than 90,000.

Located near the original facility, TLRMC has grown to almost 300,000 square feet, is now one of the region’s largest employers, and has come to be recognized as a regional health care provider.
