A Fordsville man is in jail after allegedly sexually abusing a female juvenile “over the course of several years.”
Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said that detectives investigated the report of abuse and determined that Cory Lane, 26, allegedly committed the acts.
Beatty says that detectives recovered several items of evidence against Lane to support the allegations.
The case was presented to an Ohio County Grand Jury in June. The jury indicted Lane on 10 counts of first-degree sexual abuse and he was subsequently arrested on Thursday.
In addition, according to the Ohio County Detention Center’s website, Lane is facing additional charges of unlawful transactions with a minor 2nd and 3rd degree, trafficking in marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, and illegal possession of a legend drug.
He is currently lodged in the jail on a $50,000 bond.
