The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a raffle to raise money for its yearly Shop with a Cop Christmas program.
This year, the sheriff’s office is raffling a Xpedition Viking X415 Crossbow that retails for $599, Sheriff Norman Chaffins said in a Facebook post on the GCSO Facebook page. One raffle ticket is only $5.
“One-hundred percent of the proceeds go to our Shop with a Cop program which benefits underprivileged families right here in Grayson County,” Chaffins stated.
Tickets are available at the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 44 Public Square in Leitchfield. Additionally, Chaffins said “You can ask any deputy with the GCSO or officer with the Leitchfield Police Department.”
The crossbow was “generously donated by James and Lanette Mudd of Muddy Creek Archer LLC,” according to Chaffins.
The Shop with a Cop program has grown in recent years, culminating in the GCSO, Leitchfield police and Kentucky State Police troopers shopping for well over 100 needy Grayson County children last year.
