Grayson Co. Schools has 4 more COVID cases. District now with 9 active cases, over 200 in quarantine.

Grayson County Schools (GCS) has announced that four people associated with the district have tested positive for coronavirus.

On Wednesday night, district officials said two students at Grayson County Middle School and one staff member at the school have tested positive, along with one staff member at Grayson County High School.

“The Grayson Count Health Department has notified those who will need to quarantine at this time, with contact tracing ongoing,” the district said.

On Monday, K105 reported that GCS announced the district had five new cases of the virus: one student at Lawler Elementary School and four Grayson County Middle School students.

The new cases give the district nine active cases of the virus, according the GCS COVID-19 Dashboard, with over 200 students and staff members currently in quarantine.

There are approximately 4,000 students in the district along with 600 staff members.
