The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) located two missing teenagers from other counties in less than two hours on Saturday.

On Friday night, local law enforcement was notified by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office that a missing 13-year-old girl could be in the Caneyville area. She had last been seen on Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:30 at her residence, about six miles from Benton, according to Marshall County authorities.

She was considered an “at risk juvenile,” with finding her being of “high importance,” the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies searched for the girl Friday night and into Saturday morning without success. But Saturday afternoon a few minutes after 2:00, Deputy Andy Vincent located the missing girl at a residence in the Yeaman area. She was turned over to a family member.

Then, on Saturday afternoon about 3:00, the GCSO was told that a 17-year-old Breckinridge County girl had gone missing, and that she might be in Grayson County. Just before 4:00 Saturday afternoon, Sgt. Fred Norder found the girl at a residence about five miles northeast of Leitchfield.

She was returned to her family.
