Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation has had four COVID-19 cases linked to the facility since November 4, according to the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH).

K105 reported on November 4 that a resident of the long-term care facility had tested positive for the virus, increasing to 48 the number of residents who have tested positive since the onset of the pandemic. At that time, 21 staff members had also tested positive.

Since then, according to the KDPH, two more residents and two additional staff members have tested positive. As of Thursday night, two staff members who tested positive are listed as “active” cases by the KDPH.

In total, the facility has had 73 coronavirus cases: 50 residents (42 recovered) and 23 (21 recovered) staff members. Eight resident deaths are blamed on the virus.

Grayson County’s other nursing home, Spring View Nursing & Rehabilitation, has not had a positive case in several weeks. The facility has had a total of 28 (26 recovered) residents and 14 (14 recovered) staff members test positive since the beginning of the pandemic. Two resident deaths have come at the hands of the virus.
