Grayson Co. Schools release student meal info for upcoming week

With the mid-December announcement that Grayson County Schools will begin in-person instruction on January 11, the district has released information related to the Meals on the Bus and Five Day Meal Kits programs.

School officials said there will be two option for students’ meals during the upcoming week:

  • Meals on the Bus will operate Monday through Friday with daily ready-to-eat meals. Routes and times remain the same (and can be found below).
  • Families may choose the  Five Day Meal Kits instead. The kits will be available for pick-up between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the back kitchen door at each school for children 18 and under. Please call the school kitchen when you arrive (it is not necessary to email prior to arriving for pick-up).

There will also be an afternoon pick-up at Grayson County Middle School Monday afternoon between 3:30 and 5:30 for students choosing the Five Day Meal Kits. The pick-up location will be at the front loop nearest the cafeteria door. This will be the only afternoon pick-up available this week and is also open those 18 and under.

“Students enrolled in virtual learning will continue their regular school pick up schedule,” district officials said, adding to “please contact your school if you have questions.”
