Three suspects have been arrested in Ohio County after being nabbed burglarizing a residence.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said that last week, deputies responded to a residence in the 11000 block of Hwy 69, about a half-mile south of Dundee, after a 911 caller reported that someone had a U Haul truck parked behind a residence, and “that there should be no one on the property.”

Upon deputies arriving on scene, they observed what appeared to be items from the residence loaded into the back of the U Haul. Police then entered the home and found three suspects, 39-year-old Franklin D. Ward, 33-year-old Ricky L. Fuqua and 29-year-old Kimberly A. Hayes, all of Owensboro, hiding inside.

Deputies, while searching the suspects, found additional items from the house. While searching Ward, deputies also located methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana and a “deadly weapon.”

All three were arrested, with Ward charged with second-degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of synthetic drugs and carry a concealed weapon by prior deadly weapon felony offender.

Fuqua and Hayes were charged with second-degree burglary, and Hayes was served with two warrants.

All three are lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center.
