A man missing from Greenville since Thursday has been seriously injured in an accident in Ohio County.

According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, at approximately 9:20 Friday morning, deputies responded to the 65-mile marker of westbound Western Kentucky Parkway, at Green River Bridge, on the report of a single-vehicle accident.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found that a Chevrolet Tahoe, being driven by 29-year-old Robert T. Nantz, had traveled into the median and struck a concrete bridge abutment. The vehicle went airborne, according to Beatty, and traveled down an embankment, rolling onto its side.

According to the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office, Nantz was reported missing after he failed to return home Thursday after leaving for work at about 4:45 Thursday morning.

Nantz was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries. His current condition was not provided by authorities.
