A Fordsville woman has been injured in a DUI crash on Beaver Dam Road.

Sunday morning at 12:15, Grayson County Deputy Rick Mehlbauer, the Caneyville Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident in the 12300 block of Beaver Dam Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, Mehlbauer found that 30-year-old Danielle Ralph had been traveling west on Beaver Dam Road in a straight stretch when her Chevrolet Malibu left the roadway and traveled in a ditch for about 60 yards. Ralph then overcorrected the vehicle, crossed both lanes of the road and struck a small embankment, spinning the vehicle partially back onto the roadway.

The Chevy traveled about 100 yards after initially leaving the road.

Ralph, who apparently was not wearing a seat belt, struck the passenger side windshield as she was tossed around inside the car. She was incoherent immediately after the wreck, according to a witness who arrived at the scene soon after the crash.

Ralph was transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center by EMS with non-life threatening injuries, and cited for DUI.
