KSP Post 4 Activity Report: Troopers arrest 16 impaired drivers, cite over 230 speeders

Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown has released its February Activity Report.

According KSP Post 4 Public Affairs Officer Scotty Sharp, troopers and detectives:

  • Wrote 1,079 citations and arrested 16 impaired drivers.
  • Opened 40 criminal cases, made 248 arrests and served 59 criminal court documents.
  • Cited 234 speeders and issued citations to 76 motorists for failure to wear a seat belt, with three citations issued for failure to use a child restraint seat.
  • Investigated 45 motor vehicle accidents and assisted 133 stranded motorists.
  • Gave 151 courtesy notices for minor traffic offenses.
  • Conducted 84 school and business security checks and answered 748 citizen complaints.
  • Were involved in 516 special details and conducted five community programs.

Sharp reminds residents that KSP Post 4 troopers will conduct Road Safety Checkpoints as well as Speed Checkpoints throughout the eight county Post 4 coverage area during March and throughout 2021.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 covers Hardin, Jefferson, Bullitt, Nelson, Meade, Breckinridge, LaRue, and Grayson counties.
