A Louisville woman is facing a litany of charges after having a DUI wreck in Falls of Rough and fighting with deputies.

Thursday afternoon at approximately 5:00, Grayson County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Norder and Deputy Jason Luedke responded to the single-vehicle accident on Green Farms Road at the intersection of Falls of Rough Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, police encountered the driver, 54-year-old Carla Carrico, who appeared to be highly intoxicated, according to police. An open container of alcohol was in plain view inside Carrico’s Ford SUV.

Authorities said the wreck occurred when Carrico turned off Falls of Rough Road onto Green Farms Road, with her Ford SUV exiting the roadway and entering a ditch.

Carrico refused a field sobriety test and resisted and fought with deputies as they tried to place her into custody.

After a struggle with deputies, Carrico was arrested and charged with DUI, third-degree assault of a police officer, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, menacing, harassment, and obstructing/interfering with an officer.

She was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center but is no longer listed as an inmate.
